In one of his most famous poems, Robert Frost speaks of how taking the road less traveled had made all the difference. I have always believed that Frost was writing about the choices we make and how our choices determine not only the direction but also the quality of our lives. The experience each of us has with diabetes is largely of our choosing. Each day, each hour of each day, we choose our thoughts and, therefore, our attitudes. We choose our behaviours and experience their consequences. Diabetes happened. What will you do with it?
